About Us Golden Root Inc. is a fine gardening service that originated in 1999 as a small organic farm in the fields at Earth Care Farm, in Charlestown, RI. The founder of the company, Jayne Merner, began by growing produce and flowers. Farmers market customers remarked at the high quality of the produce grown and asked Merner to garden at their homes. This flowed into a side business in tending gardens off the farm and eventually became the main focus of Jayne’s time.
The gardening team has grown and now Golden Root Inc. designs and regularly tends fine gardens across Southern Rhode Island. Our projects span from weekly maintenance of estates, to designing roof top gardens for commercial spaces, to seasonal colorscaping of window boxes. Whenever designing or caring for plants, Golden Root Inc. considers the health of the entire ecosystem. Soil health, water quality, aesthetic value, creating wildlife habitat and making a functional space that reflect the property owner's needs are all highly valued. Jayne and the Golden Root crew love every aspect of gardening and it shows. We want you to love your outdoor space. |
